Doha, Qatar – The AGCFF U-23 Gulf Cup Qatar 2025 is set to take place from December 4 to 16, 2025, showcasing emerging football talents from across the region. This tournament marks an important milestone as it will be the first to be held under the auspices of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF).

Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of AGCFF, expressed the significance of the tournament, stating, “The U-23 Gulf Cup reflects our strong commitment to nurturing young, emerging football talents in the region and fostering competitiveness in this age group. This is a pivotal stage for young players to transition to senior teams, and we encourage fans to show their support for these future stars in the making.”

Group Stage Matchups and Venue Details

The tournament will feature eight teams divided into two groups. Hosts Qatar will lead Group A, accompanied by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Group B will be led by Iraq, which will compete against the UAE, Oman, and Yemen.

A total of 14 matches will be played during the group stage at the Aspire Zone, which recently hosted the historic FIFA U-17 World Cup. The matches are designed as a non-ticketed event, aiming to attract fans from the region to enjoy the football action without barriers.

The tournament kicks off on December 4 at 14:45 local time, with Iraq facing Yemen. The host nation Qatar will play its first match on December 5 at 14:45 against Kuwait.

Final Match and Accessibility

The Final will occur on December 16 at the iconic Stadium 974, renowned for being the first fully demountable covered football stadium in FIFA World Cup history. This venue hosted matches during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Tickets for the Final will be available in the coming days.

Both venues have been designed to ensure accessibility, providing a barrier-free experience for disabled fans. This commitment to inclusivity reflects Qatar’s dedication to hosting events that cater to all members of the community.
