Gulf Businesswomen Forum Launches Platform for Investment Growth
The seventh Gulf Businesswomen Forum is set to begin on November 12, 2023, at the Mandarin Oriental, Msheireb in Doha. Under the patronage of Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, the two-day event aims to empower women in the business sector across the Gulf region.
Organized by the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers (FGCCC) in collaboration with the Qatar Chamber and supported by the GCC General Secretariat, the forum features QNB as its strategic partner. The opening ceremony will see the presence of prominent figures including Sheikh Faisal bin Abdulla Al Rawas, Chairman of the FGCCC, alongside influential businesswomen and entrepreneurs.
Launch of the Gulf Businesswomen Platform
On the first day of the forum, the highly anticipated Gulf Businesswomen Platform will be launched. This initiative aims to create a unified interactive system that connects businesswomen across the GCC, facilitating the exchange of experiences and expanding investment opportunities in line with green economy principles.
Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Secretary-General of the FGCCC, emphasized the platform’s role in empowering women in the private sector. It will offer an integrated digital environment that enhances communication and collaboration among business owners, enabling them to broaden their presence on both regional and global investment landscapes.
Panel Sessions Addressing Key Topics
The second day will feature a series of panel sessions covering essential topics relevant to Gulf businesswomen. One of the highlighted sessions, titled “Gulf Businesswomen and Sustainable Investment,” will examine the current state of investments by Gulf women and future development prospects.
Another session, “Gulf Women Entrepreneurs: From Tradition to Innovation,” will focus on empowering women within the digital economy and fostering innovative business models. The forum will conclude with a session on “Arbitration in Enhancing the Gulf Women’s Business Environment,” which aims to underscore the pivotal role of arbitration in safeguarding investments made by Gulf businesswomen.
This forum represents a significant step forward in promoting gender equality in business and enhancing the overall economic landscape for women across the Gulf region. As the event unfolds, it promises to provide valuable insights and networking opportunities for participants.
