beIN Media Group Renews NBA Broadcast Deal in MENA Region
beIN Media Group has renewed its broadcast partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), ensuring that NBA games will continue to air across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This renewal marks the continuation of a successful collaboration that has lasted for 17 years, with beIN holding the broadcasting rights since 2008.
Extensive Coverage for Basketball Fans
The renewed agreement encompasses all facets of the NBA season, including regular-season games, the NBA Playoffs, Conference Finals, and the NBA Finals. Fans in the MENA region will benefit from comprehensive multilingual coverage in Arabic, English, and French, accessible through beIN’s flagship sports channels, beIN SPORTS, and its premium OTT platform, TOD.
Mohammad Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA, commented on the significance of this partnership: “Our broadcast partnership with the NBA is one of the longest and most valued in our portfolio, and we are proud to continue bringing the best of basketball to audiences across the MENA region. This renewal reinforces our position as the global home of sports and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering world-class, multilingual, and multi-platform coverage to viewers.”
Enhancing Fan Experience
Matt Brabants, NBA Senior Vice President and Head of International Content Partnerships, expressed enthusiasm over the extension, stating, “We’re proud to extend our broadcast partnership with beIN MENA to bring the excitement of the NBA to fans across the Middle East and North Africa. Through live games, highlights, and original content available in Arabic, English, and French, fans will continue to enjoy unprecedented access to the league’s most thrilling moments.”
In addition to the MENA renewal, beIN recently extended its NBA broadcasting rights in France, where it has held the rights since 2012. This latest agreement positions beIN as an official NBA broadcaster in 23 countries, further solidifying its commitment to providing extensive sports coverage in diverse markets.
