Qatar GP Educational Tour Inspires Over 1,000 Students
The Qatar GP Educational Tour concluded successfully at the Lusail International Circuit (LIC), engaging more than 1,000 students across Qatar with immersive experiences in motorsport and technology. This initiative, which ran in the lead-up to the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, aimed to empower young individuals by highlighting LIC’s significant contributions to the development of motorsport and aligning with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Interactive Learning Experience
Launched on September 25, 2023, at the Multaqa – QF Student Lounge, the tour visited ten notable educational institutions, including the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar Leadership Academy, and Qatar University. The program emphasized educational value and community involvement, providing students with a unique opportunity to learn about the intricacies of motorsport.
During the tour, participants engaged in various interactive activities such as virtual reality (VR) pit stop challenges and Reaction Walls, as well as enjoying photo opportunities that enhanced their experience. The initiative offered insights into LIC’s dual role as one of only two tracks globally capable of hosting Formula 1, MotoGP, and the Qatar 1812 km World Endurance Championship.
Empowering Future Generations
Through this initiative, students explored important topics including team structures, race technicalities, and the application of innovation in real-world settings. The educational tour not only aimed to inspire the next generation but also sought to cultivate a deeper understanding of the motorsport industry among Qatar’s youth.
The success of the Qatar GP Educational Tour marks a significant step towards fostering greater engagement with motorsport and technology, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to education and development in line with its national vision. As the country prepares for the upcoming Grand Prix, initiatives like this serve to highlight the importance of involving young people in dynamic fields such as motorsport.
