Qatar’s national youth teams achieved remarkable success at the Arab 3×3 Basketball Championship for Youth, held in Muscat, Oman, securing two gold medals in the men’s and women’s competitions. This victory highlights Qatar’s growing prominence in youth basketball within the region.
Men’s Team Triumphs
The men’s team showcased exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament. They finished the group stage undefeated, demonstrating their dominance with victories over Lebanon (14–12), Oman B (21–16), and Oman A (17–11). In the final, Qatar faced off against Kuwait, where they ultimately clinched the championship title.
Women’s Team Shines Brightly
Similarly, the women’s team delivered a stellar performance, winning all their matches decisively. They began their campaign with a resounding victory against Oman B, defeating them 21–4. Following this, they triumphed over Oman A with a score of 20–3 and secured a commanding 16–2 win against Kuwait. In the final, the Qatar women’s team faced Oman, sealing their gold medal with yet another impressive victory.
