Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust Celebrates 23rd Annual Summer Camp
Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust has successfully completed its 23rd annual Summer Camp, reinforcing its dedication to children’s safety, wellbeing, and personal development. This year, over 100 children participated in a structured programme designed to foster holistic growth through education, health awareness, and physical activity.
The Summer Camp has become a cornerstone of community engagement over the past two decades. It serves as a trusted platform for preventive learning and youth development. This year’s activities included a variety of educational and skill-building sessions. Notable offerings were a Personality Development workshop led by Godrej Sir, Brainobrain activities to enhance mental agility, and a Drowning Prevention and water safety workshop conducted by representatives from the New Zealand Police.
In addition to these sessions, children enjoyed engaging activities in dance, art and craft, sports, and nutrition. These initiatives aim to encourage creativity, fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits among participants. A standout moment of the camp was an educational visit to Drury Fresh Ltd, hosted by Pabla ji and his family. The visit provided children with firsthand exposure to agricultural operations and local community enterprise, reinforcing the camp’s educational objectives.
Jeet Suchdev, Chairperson of Bhartiya Samaj, expressed pride in the programme’s history. He stated, “For 23 years, this programme has focused on building confidence, safety awareness, and life skills through consistent community-led engagement.” This sentiment highlights the camp’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young people and strengthening community wellbeing.
The Summer Camp remains a flagship initiative of Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust, reflecting its sustained commitment to long-term, youth-focused programmes. As the trust looks ahead, it aims to continue providing invaluable experiences that promote personal growth and community involvement among children.
