UniLodge Auckland Central Opens: A $225 Million Student Oasis
The newly inaugurated UniLodge Auckland Central has officially opened its doors, showcasing a remarkable investment of $225 million. Located at 72 Lorne Street, this accommodation offers 758 beds and an impressive range of facilities that elevate student living to a level more akin to a resort than traditional student housing.
Designed to provide a modern living experience, the new facility features a lounge area complete with a holographic fireplace that projects images of flames, setting a welcoming atmosphere. Each student room includes its own kitchenette and spacious bathrooms measuring 2.4 meters by 1 meter.
Exceptional Amenities for Students
The amenities at UniLodge Auckland Central are extensive. A 60-seat communal dining area equipped with double kitchens seamlessly connects to an outdoor terrace. This space is nestled within a tower that has been constructed above a heritage building, providing both modern convenience and historical charm.
Among the highlights are a 220 square meter fully-equipped gym and a cinema, catering to various student interests. The facility also boasts a double-height atrium, a concierge and administration office, a library, and two dedicated music rooms. For recreational activities, students can enjoy a hobby room, two pool tables, and table tennis facilities, alongside numerous study rooms and breakout areas.
Outdoor spaces are an essential part of the complex, featuring two terraces and lounges as well as a café in the foyer. This comprehensive array of facilities positions UniLodge Auckland Central as a premier choice for students in the heart of Auckland.
The innovative design and thoughtful amenities aim to foster both academic success and a vibrant community, reflecting a growing trend in student accommodation that prioritizes quality living environments. As educational institutions continue to evolve, the launch of UniLodge Auckland Central marks a significant step in redefining student housing expectations across New Zealand.
