Family Defends Palash Muchhal Amid Wedding Rumours and Health Crisis
Rumours have intensified surrounding the postponed wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal. The couple was scheduled to marry on November 23, 2023, but celebrations were halted due to health concerns involving Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana. Following the announcement, speculation exploded on social media, particularly focusing on unverified claims of infidelity by Palash.
In the wake of these allegations, Palash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, took to Instagram to defend him. She urged the public to refrain from making judgments based solely on unfounded claims. “Palash is going through a critical condition today; you all should not judge Palash as wrong without knowing the truth,” she stated. Neeti emphasized the importance of compassion in the face of rampant speculation, stating, “Technology today has come much ahead of humans, that is why people should not judge Palash in the face of rumours… pray for him.”
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Palash is currently hospitalized in Mumbai. His sister, Palak Muchhal, confirmed the wedding’s postponement on her social media, requesting privacy for the families involved. “Due to Smriti’s father’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. We would request all of you to respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time,” her message read.
The wedding was initially delayed when Shrinivas Mandhana was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli due to symptoms resembling a heart attack. Shortly after, Palash also required medical attention in the same hospital. His mother, Amita Muchhal, explained that the stress of the situation significantly affected Palash’s health. She recalled, “Since haldi was done, we didn’t let him go outside. Rote rote ek dum tabiyat karab ho gai. 4 ghante hospital mein rakhna padha… Sab normal aaye but stress bahut hai.”
In light of these events, concerns for both families have grown. Fans observed that Smriti has removed all wedding-related posts from her Instagram account, adding another layer to the speculation regarding their relationship.
Smriti and Palash began dating in 2019, keeping their relationship largely private until July 2024, when they publicly acknowledged their partnership on social media to celebrate their fifth anniversary. As they navigate these health emergencies and the swirling online chatter, both families have reiterated their plea for privacy during this challenging time.
As the situation develops, the emphasis remains on the well-being of Smriti’s father and the health of Palash, amid an environment that can often be unforgiving in the digital age.
