Waikato Motorsport Event Cancelled After Competitor’s Medical Emergency
A motorsport event in Waikato has been abruptly cancelled following a serious medical incident involving a competitor. The NZIGP Waikato Challenge, held at Hampton Downs on March 24, 2024, was called off after a racer experienced a medical episode during the race. Immediate response teams were on the scene, and the individual was transported to hospital in critical condition.
