ESG Malaysia has officially announced the upcoming ESG Malaysia Summit 2025, scheduled for November 12, 2025, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This significant event will run concurrently with SEA 2025, taking place from November 12 to 14, positioning Malaysia as a leader in the ASEAN region’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) transformation.

The Summit, themed “Sustainability in Motion – From Commitment to Action,” aims to create a collaborative platform for governments, industries, and innovators. The goal is to facilitate sustainable growth across ASEAN by translating ESG commitments into measurable outcomes.

Strengthening Malaysia’s Role in Regional ESG Initiatives

According to Steven Lee, President of ESG Malaysia, “The Summit reflects Malaysia’s growing influence in ESG transformation. Our mission is to strengthen the country’s role as a regional anchor for sustainable growth — where policy, finance, and technology converge to accelerate collective impact.” This statement underscores the commitment to enhancing Malaysia’s position within the ASEAN framework for sustainability.

The one-day event is expected to gather over 150 industry leaders and sustainability experts. It will feature five strategic sessions designed to foster cross-sector collaboration:

  • Leadership Unplugged: Malaysia’s Sustainability Roadmap – 2025 Outlook & Beyond
  • ESG Heavyweights: Carbon Markets & Climate Financing – Global Trends and APAC Perspectives
  • ASEAN Unplugged: Circular Economy & Renewable Energy Synergies for Resilient Businesses
  • Tech & Innovation: The Role of AI, Blockchain, and IoT in ESG Transformation
  • ESG Unplugged: Climate Action & Decarbonisation for Net-Zero Transitions
