Bloom’s Tribute Tour Supports Youth Mental Health in New Zealand

Australian singer-songwriter Bloom is set to bring her acclaimed music to New Zealand this September, as part of a tribute tour aimed at supporting youth mental health. The tour, in collaboration with the mental health charity I Am Hope, will raise funds and awareness for Gumboot Friday, a free counselling programme for young people. This initiative underscores the growing recognition of music’s role in fostering community well-being.
Tour Details and Charitable Impact
During the tour, which runs from September 12 to 20, 2023, Bloom will perform six shows across various locations in New Zealand with her band, Seventh Wonder. Donation points will be available at each venue, and supporters can also contribute through the online fundraising platform Givealittle. “We’re proud to be backing this tour — and even prouder of the heart behind it,” said Mike King, founder of I Am Hope. “Bloom isn’t just one of the best voices you’ll hear live — she’s someone who truly understands the power of using your platform for good.”
King emphasized the significance of this collaboration, highlighting that Bloom’s efforts are not only focused on entertainment but also on creating a lasting impact on the community. The tour aims to provide real support for young people grappling with mental health issues, making the performances meaningful beyond just music.
Bloom’s Commitment to Mental Health
Bloom expressed her commitment to the cause, stating, “As an artist, I’ve seen how music can heal — and teaming up with I Am Hope lets us turn that connection into real support for young people who need it most.” Her passion for using her platform to advocate for mental health is evident, and it resonates with both her audience and the broader community.
Managed by Dennis Dunstan, former co-manager of Fleetwood Mac, Bloom’s tour promises to be an engaging experience, with a special appearance by Mike King expected at the final show. While the complete details for the last performance are still pending, anticipation remains high among fans and supporters alike.
Tickets for the tour are currently available at seventhwonder.com.au/nz, and contributions can be made through the Givealittle page at givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/rocking-for-hope-seventh-wonder-joins-forces. With a focus on community support and mental health awareness, this tour stands as a testament to the power of music to unite and heal.
