Neo Space Group Acquires Display Interactive to Transform In-Flight Connectivity
Neo Space Group (NSG), a prominent player in Saudi Arabia’s commercial space services sector, has announced its acquisition of Display Interactive (DI), a leader in wireless in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC). The deal, confirmed on September 9, 2025, aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to enhance the kingdom’s digital communications capabilities.
Upon completion, this acquisition will integrate Display Interactive into NSG, significantly boosting NSG’s presence in the aviation market. The collaboration promises to offer integrated, multi-orbit solutions that leverage advanced bandwidth management techniques and extensive global coverage. This move is designed to meet the increasing demand for sophisticated digital communication services within the aviation sector.
Enhancing In-Flight Connectivity
The partnership between NSG and DI began in 2023, focusing on developing innovative products. Their collaboration deepened in May 2024 with the introduction of the Skywaves® satellite connectivity system, a product that exemplifies the potential of their combined expertise. The acquisition of DI is expected to accelerate the evolution of in-flight connectivity, enabling NSG to deliver a fully unified solution that enhances passenger experiences while providing airlines with new operational capabilities.
NSG’s system, supported by the SES Open OrbitsTM network, efficiently manages traffic across various satellite providers. This intelligent routing ensures passengers and airlines benefit from uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity. Such advancements simplify the deployment of in-flight connectivity solutions, offering airlines a quicker and more efficient route to the latest technological offerings.
Leadership Perspectives
Martijn Blanken, CEO of Neo Space Group, commented on the acquisition, stating, “The IFC sector is evolving rapidly, and remaining competitive requires a strong customer focus, continuous innovation, and adaptability.” He emphasized that integrating Display Interactive will enhance NSG’s ability to provide cutting-edge connectivity solutions, ultimately ensuring passengers enjoy seamless connectivity and real-time entertainment options.
Tarek El Mitwalli, CEO of Display Interactive, expressed his enthusiasm about the union, saying, “Joining forces with Neo Space Group allows us to open a new chapter, scaling our technology and expanding our impact in global aviation.” This collaboration is set to redefine the standards of innovation and connectivity in the industry.
As part of its commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, NSG aims to invest in next-generation satellite and digital technologies while promoting the growth of the national space industry. The acquisition, which is subject to standard closing conditions, underscores NSG’s established capabilities in satellite communications and in-flight connectivity. It further solidifies its role as a major enabler of secure, multi-orbit connectivity, positioning Saudi Arabia as a leader in the global space and aerospace sectors.
