Kiwi racer Madeline Stewart is making significant strides in the world of motorsport as she competes in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America. Currently in her third season racing Porsches in America, Stewart has transitioned from the Porsche Sprint Challenge, where she achieved notable success with a third-place finish and six podiums, alongside seven top-five results.

Stewart has embraced the challenge of stepping up to the prestigious Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA). Following a rocky start to the 2025 championship, which included missing the first two races due to a crash, she is beginning to find her footing. Recent performances have positioned her 19th out of 40 drivers in the series, accumulating a total of eight points.

Overcoming Early Setbacks

The beginning of Stewart’s season was fraught with difficulties. She described the early challenges in an interview with the Weekend Herald, noting, “This season hasn’t been an easy one for us. There was a fair bit going on at the beginning of the season and I missed the first two races after a crash. At the second race weekend, we were down on power, so no points over those two races either.”

Despite these setbacks, Stewart’s resilience shines through. As she continues to adapt to the demands of the PCCNA, she remains focused on her goal of breaking into the top ten. The current standings are led by Riley Dickinson with 192 points, closely followed by fellow New Zealander Ryan Yardley with 190 points, and Zachary Vanier with 152 points.

Aiming for Continued Success

With several races still remaining in the season, Stewart’s ambition to secure a top-10 finish is well within reach. The competitive nature of the PCCNA challenges her to constantly improve, and her previous achievements in the Porsche Sprint Challenge serve as a solid foundation for her current campaign.

As she prepares for upcoming races, Stewart’s determination and experience will be crucial in navigating the competitive landscape of the Porsche Carrera Cup. The journey ahead promises to be both demanding and rewarding as she aims to solidify her place among the top contenders in North America.
