Police Identify Bill Pine Maangi as Victim in Gisborne Homicide
Authorities in Gisborne have identified Bill Pine Maangi, a 36-year-old resident of Te Hapara, as the victim of an alleged homicide. The incident occurred during the early hours of March 4, 2024, when police received a call regarding a man injured at a residence on Ormond Rd.
Emergency services arrived shortly after 04:00 and discovered Maangi on the front lawn of the property. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at Gisborne Hospital.
