Hotel Brand “seven x seven” Secures Gold at Graphis Awards 2026

The hotel brand seven x seven, part of fav hospitality group Co., Ltd. (FHG), has achieved a significant milestone by winning the Gold Prize in the Branding Systems category at the Graphis Design 2026 Awards. This prestigious recognition, announced on September 19, 2025, marks the first time a hotel brand has received a Gold Award in this category, highlighting the innovative approach of FHG in the hospitality sector.
Recognition for Innovative Branding
Hosted by Graphis, a prominent publisher of visual communication based in New York, the awards celebrate excellence in design across various industries. David Miskin, Chief Creative Director at FHG, expressed his gratitude for the accolade. He stated, “It is a great honor for us to receive the Gold Award at the Graphis Design 2026 Awards. Winning in the Branding Systems category as the first hotel brand is a groundbreaking achievement that reflects the success of our challenge and demonstrates new possibilities for Japanese hospitality on the global stage.”
Miskin emphasized that seven x seven is more than just a place to stay; it represents a holistic brand experience. The design integrates architecture, interior spaces, services, and communications into a cohesive identity. He noted, “A true brand system is far more than a logo. It is an orchestration of all the senses, from the spaces guests move through to the sounds, textures, and experiences that shape lasting memories.” This philosophy underpins the brand’s vision as it looks to expand its influence beyond Japan.
Future Expansion Plans
FHG operates a range of brands under its umbrella, including the group-stay brand fav, the luxury extension FAV LUX, the high-end hotel brand seven x seven, its sub-brand edit x seven, and the business-oriented BASE LAYER HOTEL. Currently, the group manages 18 hotels across Japan and has ambitious plans to open an additional 26 properties by the end of 2027.
The company’s flagship properties include seven x seven Itoshima located at 266 Nishiura, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka 819-0202, and seven x seven Ishigaki situated at 254-19 Maezato, Ishigaki City, Okinawa 907-0002. This strategic expansion aims to enhance the brand’s presence and elevate the standards of hospitality in the regions they serve.
As FHG moves forward, the recognition from the Graphis Design Awards serves as a powerful endorsement of its commitment to creativity and innovation. The company is dedicated to redefining the experience of hotel branding, ensuring that each new location not only meets but exceeds expectations in design and customer engagement.
In conclusion, the Gold Prize at the Graphis Design 2026 Awards is a testament to the vision and execution of fav hospitality group and its seven x seven brand. The company stands poised to make a significant impact on the global hospitality landscape.
