Masterton families can enjoy the **Halloween on the Green** event at **Queen Elizabeth Park** on **October 31**, which runs from **16:00 to 19:00**. This free event invites families to partake in Halloween festivities, including games and treats. Additionally, **Bowloween** at Masterbowl, featuring live music from **The Coffin Fits** and **Rampage**, will take place on the same day from **16:00 to 23:00**.

This event will allow attendees to enjoy a piece of horror film history in a fitting context.

Featherston is not to be left out, boasting a variety of Halloween-themed activities. The **Featherston Vinyl Club** will hold its **4th Annual Halloween Ball** at the **Featherston Memorial RSA** on **October 31**, beginning at **19:30**. The following day, **November 1**, the **Go Zone Carterton** will host its **Spooktacular Halloween Party**, ideal for burning off excess Halloween candy. Meanwhile, the **Wairarapa Events Centre** will present its inaugural **Halloween Rave**, giving adults a chance to dress up and dance the night away.

Event Centre Team Leader **Erin Banks** shared her insights on the rising popularity of Halloween in the region. “Parents realize how much fun it is to get dressed up with their kids for trick-or-treating. There’s freedom and excitement in donning a costume, so we wanted to give the grown-ups a chance to enjoy themselves without a sugar meltdown in tow,” she stated.

To wrap up the Halloween festivities, the **Featherston Ghost Stories** event at **The Dickensian Bookshop** on **November 8** will feature candlelit readings of original spooky tales, concluding a month of eerie excitement as part of the inaugural **Featherston Heritage Festival**.

With a variety of events catering to all ages, Wairarapa is poised for a Halloween celebration that promises to deliver thrills, chills, and plenty of fun for everyone involved.
