Qatar Hosts MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup in October

The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) will host the MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup for the third consecutive year at the Lusail Karting Circuit from October 21 to 25, 2025. Building on the success of previous editions in 2023 and 2024, this championship aims to showcase regional motorsport talent on a larger scale.
Over 150 drivers from 18 nations across the Middle East and North Africa will participate in this exciting event. Competitors will represent countries such as Qatar, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Iran, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
The championship will feature various categories to accommodate different age groups and skill levels. Drivers will compete in six Rotax Max Challenge categories: Micro Max (ages 8-11), Mini Max (ages 10-13), Junior Max (ages 12-15), Senior Max (ages 14+), DD2 (ages 15+), and DD2 Masters (ages 31+). Additionally, the R390 Sprint and R390 Endurance categories will be open to drivers aged 15 and above.
The event schedule kicks off on October 21 with administrative meetings and driver briefings. Practice sessions will follow on October 22 and 23, along with a formal Welcome Ceremony and Gala Dinner. Racing will take place from October 24 to 25, featuring qualifying sessions, heats, the R390 Endurance race, Pre-Finals, and Finals. The championship will conclude with the Championship Awards and MENA Nations Cup Presentation on the evening of October 25.
Spectators can enjoy free admission throughout the event. A shuttle service will be available between General Admission Parking and the karting track. Visitors will also have the chance to explore an entertainment zone featuring racing simulators, a radio-controlled car circuit, PlayStation 5 gaming stations, and a 360-degree photo booth. For those unable to attend in person, all races will be streamed live on QMMF’s official YouTube channel.
The previous edition of the championship saw Lebanon claim the MENA Nations Cup title, with Morocco finishing in second place and the United Arab Emirates securing third. This year, expectations are high as the championship promises another thrilling weekend of racing and a display of national pride among participating countries.
