Search Efforts Intensify for Missing Auckland Woman Te Anihana Pomana

The search for Te Anihana Beau Pomana, a 25-year-old woman missing for more than two weeks, continues in Auckland with no new leads emerging. Pomana was last seen on security footage leaving the SkyCity Hotel at 5:06 AM on August 21, 2023. Her disappearance has prompted an emotional public appeal from her mother, Catherine Anderson, who has made a personal trip to Auckland in hopes of finding her daughter.
Anderson, accompanied by Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend, addressed the media recently, expressing her determination to locate Pomana. “We’re here because we’re determined to find her. Someone must have seen her,” Anderson stated. Despite the extensive search efforts by police and community volunteers, the investigation has not yielded any significant information regarding Pomana’s whereabouts.
Community Response and Ongoing Investigations
The local community has rallied around Anderson and the search efforts, with many volunteers joining in the search for Pomana. Posters and flyers have been distributed throughout the Auckland area, urging anyone with information to come forward. Social media platforms are also being utilized to spread the word about Pomana’s disappearance, as her family continues to hold out hope for her safe return.
Authorities have been actively investigating various leads but have yet to identify any credible witnesses. Detective Senior Sergeant Friend noted that police are carefully reviewing the security footage from surrounding areas, as well as conducting interviews with potential witnesses. “We are committed to exhausting all avenues to ensure we can provide answers to Te Anihana’s family,” he said.
As the search continues, Anderson remains hopeful but acknowledges the emotional toll of the situation. “Every day that goes by, it gets harder. But we will not stop looking for her,” she emphasized. The community’s efforts and the family’s determination reflect the urgency of the situation, highlighting the need for any information that could assist in locating Pomana.
The police have urged anyone who may have seen Pomana or has information about her activities on or around August 21 to contact them immediately. As the days pass, the search remains a priority for both law enforcement and the community, who are united in their efforts to bring Te Anihana Pomana home.
