IPC Shopping Centre Launches ‘Once Upon A Christmas Dream’ Campaign
The IPC Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur has launched its Christmas campaign titled “Once Upon A Christmas Dream,” aimed at creating a memorable festive experience for visitors. The campaign, which runs from November 20 to January 4, invites families and friends to explore diverse gifting options and engage in festive activities that embody the spirit of togetherness.
Transforming the centre into a winter wonderland, IPC has embraced a Scandinavian theme to enhance the holiday atmosphere. The central feature of this initiative is a charming Swedish Winter Market, designed to evoke the enchanting aesthetics of traditional wooden houses and warm lighting. Visitors can expect to encounter the iconic Dala Horse, now reimagined as Santa’s reindeer, delivering festive cheer throughout the centre.
Festive Activities and Interactive Spaces
The Christmas campaign offers a variety of interactive spaces, including a bustling marketplace and a creative craft corner. Guests can capture memorable moments at several photo-worthy spots, all designed to foster a sense of wonder and joy during the festive season. IPC’s mascots, Tomte and Swedish Maiden, will also be present, greeting visitors and distributing delightful surprises.
For families, the IPC’s Små Club provides children with the opportunity to participate in complimentary craft workshops. Pre-registration through the IPC App allows children to create festive ornaments and decorate gingerbread house bags, among other activities. These workshops are designed to inspire creativity and encourage family bonding, reinforcing the campaign’s theme of thoughtful gifting.
Sustainability and Mindful Practices
IPC Shopping Centre emphasizes sustainable practices in its holiday celebrations. The festive decor incorporates reusable and recyclable materials, with many elements crafted from untreated wood. After the campaign concludes, IPC plans to work closely with partners to responsibly recycle materials, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Moreover, from November 20 to March 1, 2026, Tack Club members can earn double Tack Points for recycling various materials at the Recycling and Buy-Back Centre. This initiative incentivizes community participation in sustainability efforts while enhancing the festive experience.
Additionally, IPC promotes the “Bring Your Own Container (BYOC) Reward Programme,” encouraging visitors to use their food containers for takeaways at participating outlets. Members can unlock rewards by scanning QR codes at checkout, further blending festive enjoyment with environmentally conscious choices.
Karyn Lim, General Manager of IPC Shopping Centre, emphasized that the campaign embodies the essence of a “just-right” Christmas. She stated, “It’s about thoughtfulness and finding that special something, be it a practical item, a beautiful object, a shared meal, or a moment of laughter.”
The campaign reflects IPC’s ethos of Lagom Life, which advocates for balance and mindful living. Lim reiterated that IPC strives to be more than just a shopping destination, aiming to create a space where festive dreams come true and connections flourish.
With a blend of engaging workshops, a sustainable festive setup, and rewarding shopping experiences, IPC Shopping Centre invites the community to celebrate a Christmas filled with warmth and joy.
