Alpine Luxury Tours Welcomes Linda McIntosh as Business Development Manager

Linda McIntosh will officially join Alpine Luxury Tours as the business development manager on October 1, 2023. She is set to bring a strategic vision aimed at expanding the company’s offerings and enhancing its market presence. Founded in the picturesque Whakatipu region over a decade ago by Lee Saunders, Alpine Luxury Tours specializes in providing private tours that highlight New Zealand’s stunning landscapes and unique experiences for visitors from around the globe.
Previously, McIntosh served as the trade business development manager for DQ, where she played a pivotal role in formulating and executing a regional trade strategy across DQ and Lake Wānaka Tourism. Her responsibilities included representing the Southern Lakes at key tourism trade shows, conducting multiple overseas roadshows, and fostering strategic partnerships with Tourism New Zealand and essential travel trade stakeholders.
McIntosh expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “Having spent so long representing an incredible portfolio of operators in a world-class visitor destination, I’m excited to work with Lee Saunders and his business.” She emphasized her previous experiences, which have allowed her to build meaningful connections with valued operators and industry partners worldwide.
In discussing McIntosh’s new position, Saunders highlighted her extensive experience and network as critical assets for the company. He noted that the business is entering a phase of “rapid growth” over the next two months, including a stronger commitment to sustainable tourism practices. “Linda is perfectly positioned to help us develop and execute strategies to increase bookings, market presence, and global brand recognition in niche markets within the luxury travel sector,” he added.
The upcoming changes reflect the company’s ambition to become the leading provider of luxury private experiences in New Zealand’s South Island. McIntosh’s strategic approach is expected to drive further expansion and enhance the company’s reputation in an increasingly competitive market.
As Alpine Luxury Tours prepares for this new chapter under McIntosh’s guidance, the focus on delivering exceptional travel experiences continues to remain paramount. The company aims to attract more visitors seeking luxury and personalized tours, solidifying its position in the thriving tourism industry.
