Hutt Valley Line Train Services Disrupted Following Police Incident

Train services on the Hutt Valley Line are currently suspended as police respond to an incident near Petone Railway Station. Authorities received reports of the situation at approximately 6:25 PM on March 15, 2024.
Police have established cordons around the affected area and implemented closures on Korokoro Road overbridge to ensure public safety. In an official statement, the police advised, “Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.”
The disruption to train services may last for several hours. Commuters are encouraged to utilize the Metlink app or website for real-time updates regarding service resumption and alternative transportation options.
