Al Ansari and Al Amri Triumph in Qatar Equestrian Tour
DOHA: The ninth edition of the Qatar Equestrian Tour, known as Longines Hathab, commenced its fourth round at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s outdoor arena on March 15, 2024. This three-day competition features events for both amateur and bronze-level riders.
Highlights from the Opening Rounds
The opening rounds included the Amateur (100cm) and Bronze (120cm) categories, showcasing the skills of various riders. In the Bronze event, Jaber Rashid Al Amri secured first place, completing the course on Apollon with an impressive time of 57.05 seconds. Following him, Khalid Al Hadi finished second riding Capion and took third place on Carlton.
In the Amateur category, Ali Omar Al Ansari emerged victorious, finishing his round aboard Nikita in just 26.66 seconds. He was followed closely by Maryam Abdul Karim Abdul on Beyoncé and Khalifa bin Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani riding Zion.
Team Competition Results
The team competition saw The Dome excel, clinching top honours with a combined time of 115.19 seconds. They outperformed other teams, including Marwan Al Shaqab and Ajwad, highlighting the competitive spirit of the event.
As the competition continues today, excitement builds for more rounds and potential surprises. The Qatar Equestrian Tour remains a premier event in the equestrian calendar, attracting talent from across the region.
