Chrissy Teigen Sparks Debate Over Midnight Sandwich Requests
Chrissy Teigen has stirred online discussion after revealing her habit of waking her husband, John Legend, for late-night sandwich requests. During her recent appearance on the US television show Dinner Time Live, the 39-year-old model and cookbook author shared that she often finds herself hungry in the early hours, prompting her to either order food or ask Legend, 46, to prepare something for her.
Teigen detailed her routine, stating, “I take my night-time medications at 22:00 and then I wake up again at 01:00. I place my order, it gets to me by 02:00, I eat it by 02:15, and then I go back to bed.” The model emphasized that this occurs “every night without fail,” underscoring the consistency of her midnight cravings.
In her account, she mentioned that on certain nights, she requests a simple ham and cheese sandwich from Legend. “He’ll fully go downstairs at the time. He doesn’t care. I can nudge him and be like, ‘Babe, I want a sandwich,’ and he’ll be like, ‘okay.’ He’s so robotic, you know, John. He’s like, ‘All right sandwich time,’ then he comes back and goes immediately back to bed,” Teigen explained.
The comments have sparked a range of reactions online, with some supporting the playful dynamic between the couple, while others criticize the expectation placed on Legend to cater to these late-night whims. The conversation touches on broader themes of relationship dynamics and the balance of responsibilities within partnerships.
Teigen’s candid revelation has resonated with many, prompting discussions about the nuances of shared household duties and the extent to which partners should accommodate each other’s needs. As the couple continues to navigate their public and personal lives, this light-hearted yet revealing anecdote offers a glimpse into their relationship, blending humor with the realities of married life.
