Govinda and Sunita Ahuja Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, Deny Divorce Rumors

Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja publicly addressed swirling divorce rumors by celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi together at their Mumbai home on Wednesday. The couple greeted paparazzi with smiles and distributed sweets, demonstrating their unity amidst speculation about their marriage.
Dressed in festive attire, Govinda wore a vibrant red kurta while Sunita opted for a striking purple saree. Their son Yashvardhan joined them for the celebration, with the trio appearing in high spirits. Sunita took the opportunity to counter the divorce claims, stating to the media, “Aaj itna close, close… agar kuch hota toh hum itne nazdeek hotey? Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta hai… mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai,” as reported by Mint.
Shashi Sinha, Govinda’s manager, previously dismissed the divorce rumors as “outdated and misleading.” Similarly, Sadia Solkar, Sunita’s manager, denied any reports suggesting a strained marriage between the couple. Despite this, Govinda’s lawyer had earlier confirmed that Sunita had filed for divorce approximately six months ago, although he noted that the matter was later resolved.
The couple, who married in the 1980s, publicly acknowledged their relationship after the birth of their daughter Tina Ahuja in 1989. They have two children: Tina, who has already begun a career in films, and Yashvardhan, who is preparing for his Bollywood debut.
By celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi together, Govinda and Sunita have effectively communicated their commitment to one another, countering ongoing speculation about their relationship. Their joint appearance not only highlights their familial bonds but also reinforces their enduring partnership in the public eye. This event serves as a reminder of the couple’s long-standing history and their dedication to family values.
