The ninth round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour took place at Al Shaqab on March 15, 2024, featuring exciting competitions across three categories. Equestrian athletes showcased their skills, culminating in impressive podium finishes in the Gold Tour, Open Tour, and Future Riders Tour.

Gold Tour Highlights

In the Gold Tour (140 cm), Faleh Suwaid Al-Ajami emerged victorious, securing first place with a remarkable performance. Following closely behind was Khalid Al-Hadi, who claimed the second position. In the team standings, Team Wathnan topped the leaderboard, demonstrating strong teamwork and skill. They were followed by Team Lekhwiya in second place, with Team Al Shaqab finishing third.

Open Tour and Future Riders Tour Success

The Open Tour (110 cm) saw Abdulla bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani leading both the main and junior categories. In the main category, Mohammed Al Dal’an and Khalid Al-Hadi secured second and third places, respectively. Meanwhile, in the junior round, Ali Omar Al Ansari and Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani finished second and third, showcasing the emerging talent in this discipline.

In the Future Riders Tour (70 cm), young equestrian Norah bint Jassim Al Thani claimed victory, highlighting her potential in the sport. Notably, Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani achieved an impressive feat by finishing in both second and third positions.

The event not only celebrated the achievements of individual riders but also reinforced the growing popularity of equestrian sports in Qatar. As the tour continues, anticipation builds for the upcoming rounds and the athletes’ performances.
