Old Doha Port Partners with Al Shaqab to Elevate Equestrian Sports
Old Doha Port has officially signed a strategic partnership agreement with Al Shaqab, becoming the official sponsor of the Al Shaqab League. This collaboration, announced on October 16, 2023, seeks to enhance cooperation between national institutions and bolster sports and cultural activities within Qatar.
Strengthening National Sports Initiatives
The signing ceremony took place at Al Shaqab’s headquarters, attended by key representatives from both organizations. Al Shaqab was represented by Khalid Sanad Al-Nuaimi, the Event Director, while Mohamed Al Atwan, Chief Operations Officer of Old Doha Port, represented his organization.
This partnership underscores the commitment of both parties to promote Qatari sports, particularly in equestrianism, an integral aspect of Qatar’s rich heritage. The agreement aims to enhance the reputation of the Al Shaqab League, positioning it as a premier sporting platform that attracts elite riders from across the region, while fostering values of excellence and sportsmanship.
Sanad expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are proud of this partnership with Old Doha Port, which represents a valuable addition to the Al Shaqab League’s journey and reflects Al Shaqab’s vision of building strategic partnerships with national institutions that share our values and goals.”
Fostering Synergy between Sports and Logistics
This collaboration is expected to create a productive synergy between Qatar’s sports and logistics sectors. It aligns with the broader objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030, supporting initiatives that bridge the gap between tradition and modernity.
As the partnership unfolds, both organizations aim to deliver enhanced experiences for participants and audiences alike, further solidifying the importance of equestrian sports within Qatar’s cultural narrative. The support from Old Doha Port is anticipated to not only elevate the Al Shaqab League but also contribute to the overall growth and visibility of local sports initiatives.
