These friendly matches are crucial for assessing the squad’s readiness and enhancing their chances of qualifying for the World Cup.

Strategic Preparation Ahead of Qualifying Matches

Head coach Julen Lopetegui has assembled a 26-player squad for this training camp and the upcoming friendlies. These games serve as vital evaluations of the team’s tactical approach and overall performance as they gear up for the decisive qualifying stage.

Qatar has been placed at the top of Group A, which will be hosted in Doha from October 8 to 11, 2023. The group also features the UAE and Oman. As the team prepares for these challenges, the friendly matches against Bahrain and Russia will provide invaluable opportunities for players to demonstrate their readiness and for the coaching staff to finalize strategies that will be vital in the qualifying rounds.
