Bergerson Aims for Success with Bradman and Bosson This Weekend

Roydon Bergerson is set for an exciting weekend in the racing world, aiming to secure victories at two different tracks with the support of his close companions. Today, he will compete in the $110,000 Winter Cup at Riccarton, where he will race with his horse, Bradman, listed as Race 9, Number 2. Tomorrow, the trainer will return to his home track in Awapuni, where he will reunite with champion jockey Opie Bosson, who is making a return to racing after an eight-month hiatus.
Bosson’s return comes with the promise of a fresh start, as he has managed to control his weight and is mentally prepared for the challenges ahead. He will ease back into racing at the Awapuni synthetic meeting, taking on only a couple of rides to start with. Among these is Stonybreck, who will compete in the $100,000 Japac Polytrack Final, a significant race that will test Bosson’s skills after his extended break.
In addition to Stonybreck, Bosson will also ride for Bergerson in the final race of the day, partnering with the maiden horse Wonderboy. This collaboration marks an important moment for both trainer and jockey, symbolizing Bosson’s return to the sport and Bergerson’s ongoing commitment to his horses.
As the weekend unfolds, all eyes will be on Bergerson, Bradman, and Bosson, with fans eagerly anticipating the results of their efforts. The atmosphere at both tracks promises to be electric, as these seasoned professionals aim to reclaim their place among the top competitors in the racing circuit.
With the stakes high and the excitement palpable, this weekend represents not just a return to form for Bosson, but also a chance for Bergerson to showcase his training prowess alongside his trusted equine companion.
