Cam Roigard Returns as All Blacks Prepare for Bledisloe Cup Clash

Cam Roigard has officially returned to full fitness, aiming to make a significant impact as the All Blacks prepare to face the Wallabies in the upcoming Bledisloe Cup matches. The 24-year-old halfback had a challenging start to the 2025 test season, having been sidelined due to a stress fracture in his right foot after initially participating in the first two tests against France.
Roigard began the season with promise, starting in both opening tests against France. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when he was rested for the series finale and subsequently ruled out of the initial matches of the Rugby Championship. His absence included the two tests against Argentina and the home series with South Africa, limiting his involvement with the team during a critical period.
The All Blacks will host the Wallabies at Auckland’s Eden Park this weekend, where Australia aims to end New Zealand’s unbeaten record at the venue. The Wallabies seek to reclaim the Bledisloe Cup, a trophy they have not held since 2003. Roigard expressed his excitement about being back with the team, noting, “I never planned or intended to be out on the sideline for an extended period of time, so I’m really stoked to be back in the group and not just doing my own stuff on the side.”
Previously, Roigard had a strong performance off the bench for Counties Manukau, contributing to their impressive 49-28 victory over Auckland in the National Provincial Championship (NPC) last weekend. He scored one of the eight tries in that match, showcasing his readiness to rejoin the All Blacks’ lineup.
With Roigard’s return, the All Blacks strengthen their squad as they prepare for a match that holds significant importance for both teams. The anticipation builds as the clash approaches, with fans eager to see how Roigard’s presence will influence the game and the All Blacks’ quest to maintain their dominance in the Bledisloe Cup series.
