Cam Roigard Out for Opening Rounds of Rugby Championship

The All Blacks will begin the Rugby Championship without halfback Cam Roigard, who is set to miss at least the first two rounds due to a fracture in his right foot. Roigard sustained the injury during the recent series against France and will not join the team on their trip to Argentina for the opening matches.
In addition to Roigard, fellow halfback Noah Hotham is also sidelined with an ankle injury that could keep him out of action for up to eight weeks. As the All Blacks prepare for their matches, the absence of these two key players poses a challenge for the squad.
Replacement Options for the All Blacks
With Roigard and Hotham unavailable, Finlay Christie from Tasman has been ruled out of the National Provincial Championship clash against Bay of Plenty and is expected to be called up as a replacement for the All Blacks. The team is actively assessing their options to ensure a competitive lineup for the tournament.
The All Blacks have indicated that Roigard’s recovery will be evaluated in two weeks, providing some hope for his potential return later in the championship.
The squad for the Rugby Championship is set to be announced at midday on Monday. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how the coaching staff adapts to the challenges presented by the injuries to key players.
This year’s Rugby Championship will be crucial for the All Blacks as they aim to maintain their competitive edge on the international stage.
