Beaumont Boot Bash Returns with New Energy and Excitement
The renowned Beaumont Boot Bash is set to make a comeback on January 31, 2024, after a five-year hiatus, rejuvenating a beloved event originally created to connect singles in the region. Founded in 2010 by Beaumont Hotel owner Alison Mills, the Boot Bash quickly became a popular gathering spot for socializing, dancing, and engaging in various activities, resulting in two known marriages and numerous friendships over the years.
Reflecting on the event’s previous decade of success, Mills noted, “The event has been missed, and there’s still a need for it. Country people work hard and are often a bit isolated due to distance.” She emphasized the value of the Boot Bash in breaking the ice, stating that attendees wearing a green wristband signal their single status, simplifying the social landscape.
To ensure a successful relaunch, Mills has partnered with event organiser Olivia Montgomery, aiming to address past concerns regarding crowd control and antisocial behavior. The local police have approved the event, which will limit attendance to 200 pre-sale tickets only, fostering a more manageable environment for participants.
Exciting Changes and Safety Measures
Montgomery expressed her enthusiasm for revitalizing the “legendary” event, focusing on maintaining its character while enhancing safety. “I’d heard about the infamous Boot Bash and when Alison approached me I thought ‘why not?’” she said. The team has implemented several changes, including the elimination of door sales, with all tickets available only through pre-sale online. Additionally, the age requirement has been adjusted to attendees aged 23 and up.
The organisers have made provisions for courtesy coaches and free on-site camping at the hotel to accommodate guests. Montgomery emphasized the inclusive nature of the event, stating, “There’s no dress code, gumboots are encouraged, and it’s all about everyone having a party to remember and maybe picking up a future spouse along the way.”
As the Boot Bash gears up for its revival, Montgomery indicated that the event could become a regular fixture on the social calendar, depending on its success this year. “Let’s make this a classic pub party. It’s time for a revival,” she concluded, inviting all to join in the festivities.
With its mix of fun, social interaction, and community spirit, the Beaumont Boot Bash aims to reclaim its place as a highlight of the local social scene, offering an opportunity for attendees to forge new connections in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
