Taekwondo Students Shine with 12 Medals at Championship
Students from a local taekwondo academy achieved remarkable success at a recent championship, securing a total of 12 medals, which included eight gold, three silver, and one bronze. The event showcased the talent and dedication of these young athletes, highlighting their commitment to the sport.
Ricky Koay was the standout performer of the day, earning three gold medals. His exceptional skills and determination contributed significantly to the academy’s overall medal count. Following closely was Hunter Cotter, who claimed two gold medals along with a silver, showcasing his versatility and competitive spirit.
The medal tally continued with William Fajarado, who brought home one gold and two silver medals, and Jack Luff, who secured a gold medal for his impressive performance. The achievements of these students reflect not only their individual hard work but also the strong training regimen provided by their instructors.
The academy’s Head Instructor, Vanessa Gough, also made a mark at the championship by winning a gold medal herself. Her guidance and expertise have played a crucial role in the students’ development and success. Additionally, Toby Kelland added to the medal count with a bronze medal, further demonstrating the level of talent present within the academy.
