Goodix Unveils Next-Gen Bluetooth® 6.1 SoC for Digital Car Keys
The automotive landscape is set for a significant transformation with the introduction of Goodix Technology’s latest innovation, the GR5410, a next-generation Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) system-on-chip (SoC). Announced on December 29, 2025, this new technology aims to enhance the functionality of digital car keys by allowing users to unlock their vehicles simply by approaching, without the need for a phone or key fob.
Goodix is positioning itself at the forefront of this trend, building on the recently released Bluetooth® Core Specification 6.1 from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The company has initiated the development and validation of digital car key applications, underscoring its commitment to driving innovation in the automotive sector.
Advanced Features and Certifications
The GR5410 is among the first chips to achieve dual certification for Bluetooth® 6.1 and Channel Sounding, a significant milestone for the industry. This SoC boasts enhanced privacy protection and energy efficiency, catering to a variety of demanding applications, including high-precision ranging and low-latency communication.
With a focus on power efficiency and robust security, the GR5410 integrates a Bluetooth® 6.1 module, Channel Sounding unit, and Controller Area Network Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD) interface into a high-performance single-chip wireless microcontroller unit (MCU). This architecture is tailored for automotive, industrial, and other performance-critical applications.
One of the standout features of the GR5410 is its support for Passive Anchor Multi-Node Ranging. This technology allows for synchronized ranging across all nodes in approximately 200 milliseconds, significantly improving both the refresh rates and accuracy of the system. Goodix’s proprietary AI-based algorithms further enhance the precision of the ranging, achieving an accuracy of up to ±50 cm and a maximum ranging distance exceeding 50 meters.
Market Adoption and Future Prospects
Goodix is already seeing interest from major automakers and Tier 1 suppliers, with the GR5410 set to enter pilot production in the first quarter of 2026. This development is expected to accelerate the adoption of Bluetooth® innovations in smart vehicles, aligning with the automotive industry’s shift towards greater intelligence and connectivity.
As a leading provider of digital car key solutions, Goodix has successfully deployed its technology across multiple mainstream Chinese automakers and Tier 1 suppliers, with its products already in use in over a dozen car models. The company’s robust portfolio and comprehensive customer support have solidified its position in the market.
Looking ahead, Goodix is committed to deepening its investment in wireless connectivity technologies. The firm aims to empower automakers to deliver smarter, more convenient, and secure mobility experiences through innovative solutions. As the industry evolves, Goodix is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive technology.
