Colebrook Bosson Saunders Unveils Lana: The Future of Laptop Ergonomics
Colebrook Bosson Saunders (CBS) has officially launched the Lana, a versatile laptop stand designed to meet the demands of hybrid work environments. Announced on January 12, 2026, the stand aims to alleviate discomfort experienced by employees who frequently use laptops in flexible workspace settings, such as hot-desking and communal areas.
As remote and hybrid work becomes increasingly common, prolonged laptop use has emerged as a significant source of discomfort. The Lana stand addresses this issue by allowing users to adjust their laptop to an optimal viewing height, thereby reducing neck, shoulder, back, and eye strain. “Lana transforms any work surface into an ergonomic workspace in seconds,” stated Cecil Huang, Senior Marketing Manager for the APAC, Middle East, and Africa regions at CBS. He emphasized the stand’s portability, noting its adaptability in various environments where employees might find themselves working.
Design and Functionality
The intuitive design of Lana allows users to quickly adjust the height of their laptops without the need for complex tools or mechanisms. This ease of use is particularly beneficial in shared workspaces where multiple individuals may use the same equipment. An integrated USB hub provides connectivity for wireless peripherals and power delivery through a single USB-C connection, minimizing cable clutter and enhancing the setup experience.
When not in use, the cable can be neatly tucked away beneath the platform, and the stand itself folds flat, freeing up valuable desk space. This combination of functionality and convenience reflects CBS’s commitment to designing products that enhance workplace ergonomics.
Lana is built to last, engineered to endure daily use for over five years and backed by a comprehensive five-year warranty. It is constructed from environmentally friendly materials, including PFAS-free components, lower-carbon aluminum and steel, FSC-certified wood, and natural wool felt. The stand is available in both black and white finishes, allowing it to blend seamlessly into various office aesthetics.
Availability and Specifications
Set to launch in all markets on February 3, 2026, the Lana stand will also be released in the United States in April. It supports laptops up to 16 inches in size and can accommodate weights of up to 2.5 kilograms. For optimal ergonomic benefits, CBS recommends the use of an external wireless keyboard and mouse, which are sold separately.
