Rachel Hunter Reveals Personal Motivation for Reality TV Role
Rachel Hunter has shared the deeply personal reasons behind her participation in the latest season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, revealing how the death of her mother significantly influenced her outlook on life. The 56-year-old supermodel, originally from Auckland, expressed that caring for her mother during her final months in 2017 led her to embrace new opportunities and take greater risks.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Hunter recounted a poignant conversation with her mother shortly before her passing. As they lay together in bed, she asked her mother what she regretted most in life. The response was both powerful and moving: “Not being who I am,” her mother told her. This moment left a profound impact on Hunter, prompting her to reflect on her own life choices.
“I was like, God, what do I want to do? How do I move through the grief once she passes?” Hunter recalled. This introspection ultimately motivated her to step into the public eye once again, participating in the reality show that challenges contestants to face their fears.
As the show premieres in Australia today, Hunter hopes her journey will resonate with viewers, inspiring them to pursue their authentic selves. She believes that her experiences, both joyful and painful, have shaped her into a person ready to embrace new challenges.
Hunter’s decision to join I’m A Celebrity… is not just about entertainment; it reflects a deeper desire for personal growth and exploration. With her mother’s words echoing in her mind, she is determined to live more fully and authentically than ever before.
