Silver Ferns Claim Thrilling Last-Minute Win to Complete Trophy Sweep
The Silver Ferns secured a dramatic victory against South Africa, winning 57-56 to complete a clean sweep of the Taini Jamison Trophy on October 14, 2023. With only 20 seconds remaining and the score tied, South Africa attempted to position themselves for a decisive shot. The match statistics highlighted the individual performances, with Nweke scoring 49 out of 54 attempts and Salmon contributing eight out of ten. For South Africa, Elmere van der Berg had an impressive 46 out of 51 shots, and Owethu Ngubane added ten out of 14.
