Auckland and Ōtaki Players Each Win $500,000 Lotto Christmas Prize
Two fortunate Lotto players have each won a share of the festive $1 million First Division prize pool, just in time for Christmas. The winners, hailing from Auckland and Ōtaki, each secured $500,000 in the draw held on December 24, 2023.
The winning numbers were 18, 2, 33, 23, 17, and 28, with the bonus ball being 31 and the Powerball at 7. Remarkably, the winning tickets were purchased at New World Pukekohe and New World Ōtaki. This lucky draw has sparked excitement across the regions as holiday celebrations take on an even more festive tone for the winners.
In addition to the First Division winners, ten players secured prizes in the Second Division, each taking home $27,621. The winning tickets for this division were sold in various locations, including Ashburton, Auckland, Christchurch, Ōtorohanga, Taupō, and Wellington.
As the holiday season unfolds, these wins not only bring joy to the winners but also highlight the continued popularity of Lotto in New Zealand. The draw serves as a reminder of the potential life-changing opportunities that come with participating in the lottery.
For many, the excitement of winning is a cherished aspect of the holiday tradition, and this year’s draw has certainly added an element of surprise and celebration for those fortunate enough to have purchased a winning ticket.
