She described how her toddler loved building sandcastles with the product, which he would shape into molds while sitting in his highchair. The situation escalated when she received the recall notice just ten minutes before leaving for work on March 14, 2024.

With little time to react, Ward quickly bagged the sand and removed it, along with the highchair, from her home.
