Motorists in Auckland are facing significant traffic delays following an incident involving a truck transporting a small house. The collision occurred on State Highway 1 (SH1), affecting northbound lanes as vehicles travel from Papakura to Manukau.

The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) issued a warning this afternoon regarding the situation. According to police, they received reports of the crash at approximately 15:25 local time. The incident took place between the Papakura off-ramp and the Manurewa-Takanini off-ramp, close to Conifer Grove. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that there were no reported injuries resulting from the collision.

As the cleanup continues, traffic is expected to remain congested for an extended period. The NZTA has advised drivers to seek alternative routes where possible and to allow extra time for their journeys.

Authorities are currently assessing the situation to ensure the safe removal of the truck and its cargo. It is unclear at this time what may have caused the truck to collide with the overbridge. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Drivers are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and to remain patient as traffic conditions evolve throughout the evening.
