Australian Eggs Donates 31,200 Eggs to Support Women in Crisis

On October 10, 2025, Australian Eggs announced a significant donation of 31,200 eggs to the social enterprise Two Good Co. Cooking for a Cause

To celebrate the occasion, renowned TV personalities Khanh Ong and Alice Zaslavsky joined the Two Good team in their kitchen, preparing two special dishes. These include an Asian-Inspired Smoked Salmon Frittata and a Melt & Mix Chocolate Slab Cake, which will be packaged and distributed to women who have faced homelessness and domestic violence.

This partnership comes at a crucial time when food insecurity is becoming increasingly prevalent across Australia. As of September 2025, egg supply in the country is robust, with a record of 7 billion eggs consumed nationwide. Each Australian is now consuming an average of 267 eggs per year, reflecting a growing appreciation for this nutritious food.

Research conducted by Australian Eggs reveals that 89% of Australians believe eggs provide essential nutrition, while 86% consider them a vital food staple. Furthermore, 68% of respondents now view eggs as a better source of nutrition compared to previous perceptions.
