Arasan Achieves ISO 26262 Certification for MIPI D-PHY IP
Arasan Chip Systems has announced that its second-generation ultra low power MIPI D-PHY IP has received ISO 26262 functional safety certification. This certification is significant for the automotive industry as it confirms that the technology meets stringent safety requirements, supporting the design of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and other critical automotive applications.
Based in San Jose, California, Arasan has been an executive member of the MIPI Association since 2005. The newly certified MIPI D-PHY IP is available for licensing across a range of foundry nodes, from 40nm to 4nm. This development highlights Arasan’s commitment to providing a comprehensive suite of MIPI IP solutions for various applications.
The ISO 26262 certified MIPI D-PHY IP integrates seamlessly with Arasan’s existing ISO 26262 certified MIPI CSI-2 IP, which is used for camera applications, and MIPI DSI-2 IP for display applications. This integration provides a complete ISO 26262 certified solution for MIPI display and camera technologies, catering to the increasing demand for high-speed connectivity in modern vehicles.

In addition to the MIPI D-PHY IP, Arasan offers the MIPI I3C IP, which can be utilized for camera or display control, along with audio IP solutions such as MIPI Soundwire and MIPI SWI3S. All digital IP offerings come with integrated PHY IP and a comprehensive software stack, providing customers with robust solutions tailored for their needs.
