Rajasthan Farmer’s Daughter Achieves UPSC Rank 644, Joins IAS

The results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 were announced today, revealing that 958 candidates have been recommended for prestigious positions in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). Among these successful candidates is Anita Deora, a remarkable individual from Bhopalgarh, Rajasthan, who secured the 644th rank, earning her place in the IAS.

Anita hails from a farming family, where her mother played an essential role in supporting her educational journey. Despite the demands of working in the fields, her mother ensured that Anita could continue her studies, providing both financial assistance and encouragement. The family’s connection to civil services runs deep; Anita’s uncle, Chetan Devda, is a retired IAS officer, and other relatives serve in significant roles, including senior railway officials and Additional District Magistrates.

Anita’s aspiration to pursue a career in civil services was ignited when she topped her Class 12 examinations. Her dedication and relentless hard work culminated in her achieving her dream of becoming an IAS officer. Her success has sparked celebrations not only in Bhopalgarh but also throughout the Jodhpur district.

Education and UPSC Journey

Anita completed her schooling at Saini School in Bhopalgarh, where she consistently excelled academically, even topping the block level in the Class 12 board examinations. The UPSC interview process, often referred to as the personality test, commenced in January 2026 at the commission’s headquarters located at Dholpur House on Shahjahan Road in New Delhi. This crucial stage of the examination carries a weight of 275 marks.

According to official reports, the commission withheld the results of two candidates. Additionally, the results of 348 recommended candidates have been designated as provisional, indicating that further verification may be necessary before their final acceptance into the services.
