Former All Black Dr. Keith Nelson Passes Away at 86

Dr. Keith Nelson, the former All Blacks loose forward, has passed away at the age of 86. His death was confirmed on March 15, 2024, via a social media post from his dental practice, Keith Nelson & Associates, located in Glen Eden. Nelson, who played 18 matches for the All Blacks between 1962 and 1964, was known for his contributions both on and off the rugby field.
A Rugby Career Marked by Dedication
During his time with the All Blacks, Nelson participated in two test matches against Australia, earning the distinction of becoming All Black No. 631. His tenure with the team solidified his status in New Zealand rugby history, and he is remembered as part of a generation that helped shape the game in the country.
After retiring from rugby, Nelson transitioned to a successful career in dentistry. He founded his practice in Glen Eden, where he served the community for more than 40 years.
