JoJo Siwa Hospitalized After Burst Ovarian Cyst Before Show
JoJo Siwa was hospitalized shortly before her scheduled performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, due to a burst ovarian cyst that caused her “excruciating pain.” The 22-year-old star of *Dance Moms* described her distressing experience in a video posted on TikTok, revealing that she struggled to breathe and felt faint just hours before the show on Black Friday.
In her video, Siwa recounted her ordeal that began the previous day. She had been experiencing stomach discomfort for several days but believed it would subside. “I thought it would pass; it has been for the last few days,” she said. However, the pain escalated, prompting her to seek medical attention.
Just three hours before her performance, Siwa attempted to rest in her hotel room. “I was like, ‘I’m just gonna lie down and close my eyes, and hope for the best,’” she explained. Unfortunately, her condition worsened. “I can’t breathe, this is really bad,” she recalled, leading her to take a bath in an effort to alleviate the pain. Instead, this action intensified her symptoms.
Emergency Response and Health Impact
Following the incident, Siwa’s mother assisted her in getting to the hospital. The medical staff confirmed the presence of a burst ovarian cyst, a condition that can cause severe abdominal pain and requires prompt medical evaluation. The situation highlights the potential risks associated with cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs on the ovaries that can rupture and lead to complications.
Following her treatment, Siwa expressed gratitude for the medical care she received and reassured her fans that she was recovering. “I’m feeling better now,” she stated in an update, emphasizing the importance of listening to one’s body when experiencing severe pain.
JoJo Siwa’s incident serves as a reminder of the unexpected health challenges that can arise, even for those in the public eye. Her openness about the situation may encourage others to seek help when faced with similar symptoms, reinforcing the critical nature of health awareness.
As she continues to recover, fans are hopeful for her swift return to the stage. Siwa has built a substantial following through her dance and entertainment career, and many await her next performance with enthusiasm.
