Rhythm and Alps 2025: Major Artists Set to Celebrate 15 Years

Rhythm and Alps, New Zealand’s largest New Year’s music festival, has unveiled an impressive lineup for its 15th anniversary, featuring both international and local artists. The festival will take place over three nights, culminating in a highly anticipated midnight countdown to the year 2026. Organizers expect more than 10,000 attendees at Robrosa Station, located in the stunning Cardrona Valley between Queenstown and Wānaka.
This year’s lineup boasts an array of talent, including the acclaimed British drum and bass trio, Rudimental. Known for their energetic performances, they are a familiar name on Aotearoa’s summer festival circuit. Joining them is Santigold, an artist celebrated for her distinctive new wave pop sound, recognized in hits like “Disparate Youth” and “L.E.S. Artistes.” Her presence is expected to bring a refreshing contrast to the festival’s high-energy acts.
Controversial Artist Joins the Lineup
Among the headliners is Dizzee Rascal, a prominent figure in the UK music scene. His inclusion has sparked discussions due to his past conviction for domestic violence. This decision highlights the ongoing debate within the music industry regarding accountability and the treatment of artists with controversial backgrounds.
Despite this controversy, the festival promises an eclectic mix of performances across five stages, ensuring a diverse range of musical experiences. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere, set against the picturesque alpine landscape that New Zealand is renowned for.
Rhythm and Alps has established itself as a key event for music lovers, combining a festive spirit with a breathtaking natural setting. As the countdown to the celebration begins, excitement builds around what is expected to be an unforgettable milestone for the festival.
With its commitment to showcasing both local talent and international stars, Rhythm and Alps continues to play a significant role in New Zealand’s cultural calendar. As the festival prepares for another memorable year, fans anticipate a celebration that reflects the spirit and diversity of the music scene.
