Salman Khan Consoles Bodyguard Shera Following Father’s Death
Bollywood actor Salman Khan visited the home of his long-time bodyguard Shera (real name Gurmeet Singh Jolly) to offer condolences following the passing of Shera’s father, Sunder Singh Jolly, today. This visit came after the last rites of Sunder Singh were conducted earlier in the day. Khan’s arrival was marked by heightened security, reflecting his celebrity status.
Upon arriving at Shera’s residence, Salman Khan embraced his grieving bodyguard in a gesture of support. The two then entered the home together as family and friends gathered to mourn the loss. Shera had publicly announced the death of his father through an official statement earlier that morning, expressing deep sorrow for the loss.
In his statement, Shera noted, “My father, Shri Sunder Singh Jolly, has left for heavenly abode today. The last journey will start at 16:00 from my residence, 1902, The Park luxury Residences, Off Lokhandwala Back Road, Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai. Cremation will take place at Oshiwara Crematorium, Jogeshwari West.” This reflects Shera’s close relationship with his father, who had recently celebrated his 88th birthday just a few months prior.
Shera took to social media to honor his father on the occasion of the birthday celebration, posting a heartfelt message alongside a photograph. He wrote, “Happy 88th birthday to the strongest man, my God, my father, my inspiration! Every bit of strength in me comes from you. Love you Dad always!” The post was accompanied by hashtags like #MyHero, #88YearsStrong, and #Blessed, showcasing the profound admiration he held for his father.
In addition, a bhog and ardas ceremony for Sunder Singh Jolly is scheduled for August 10, 2023, at the Gurudwara located at 4 Bungalows in Mumbai. This ceremony will allow family, friends, and well-wishers to come together to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Sunder Singh.
As the community mourns this loss, the bond between Shera and Salman Khan remains evident through this moment of support, highlighting the personal connections that often underpin the relationships within the entertainment industry.
