Al Naimi and Al Qubaisi Battle for QSTK 600 Championship Lead
Doha, Qatar: The fourth round of the 2025-26 Qatar Superstock 600 (QSTK 600) Championship showcased exhilarating racing at the Lusail International Circuit, significantly intensifying the title race as the season approaches its conclusion. With just one round left, the competition is heating up among top riders.
Thrilling Races Unfold
In the opening race of the weekend, Mashal Al Naimi demonstrated his skill by securing a decisive victory in Race 1. Racing his Yamaha R6, Al Naimi completed the 12-lap event in a time of 25:18.209. Dmitry Sedin of Russia followed closely, taking second place aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6, while Abdulla Al Qubaisi rounded out the podium.
In addition to his impressive performance in Race 1, Sedin also claimed the top spot in the QSTK Trophy Class, finishing ahead of India’s Jonathan Emmanuel and Hungary’s Marton Belleli, who secured second and third respectively.
Race 2 saw Abdulla Al Qubaisi retaliate with an impressive win, completing the 10-lap race in 20:48.010. Al Naimi settled for second place, while Al Mutawa captured third. In the QSTK Trophy class for Race 2, Emmanuel emerged victorious, followed by Belleli and Russia’s Yuri Nekrasov.
Title Race Tightens
Following the two races, both Al Naimi and Al Qubaisi find themselves tied at the top of the QSTK 600 standings, each with 180 points. Geoffrey Emmanuel is currently in third place with 115 points, setting the stage for a dramatic finale.
The Supersport 300 category is also heating up, with Mahmoud Elbanna leading the championship standings with 157 points. Andrea Giacchero trails with 109 points, closely followed by Nolan Macary at 100 points. As the riders prepare for the decisive final round, scheduled for February 27-28, 2026, fans are eager to see how the championship will unfold.
With the title race at a critical juncture, the excitement surrounding the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship continues to build, promising an exhilarating conclusion to the season.
