Model Bella Hadid has been hospitalized as she continues her fight against Lyme disease. The 28-year-old shared photographs on social media that depict her lying in a hospital bed, connected to intravenous (IV) therapy. In her post, Hadid expressed her gratitude to her supporters, stating, “I’m sorry I always go MIA I love you guys.”
Although Hadid did not specify the reason for her hospital visit, her mother, Yolanda Hadid, referred to her as a “Lyme warrior” in the comments. This term reflects the challenges and resilience associated with living with Lyme disease, which Bella was diagnosed with at the age of 16 in 2012.
Her sister, Gigi Hadid, also offered words of encouragement, writing, “I love you! I hope feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!” This display of family support highlights the emotional impact of Bella’s health struggles.
Lyme disease, caused by bacteria transmitted through bites from infected ticks, can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, and neurological issues. The condition has proven to be a significant challenge for Hadid, who has been vocal about her ongoing health battle.
In previous interviews, Bella discussed the impact of Lyme disease on her daily life, mentioning fatigue and the need for treatment. Her public struggle has raised awareness about the disease and its effects, encouraging conversations around chronic illness.
As she faces this latest setback, Bella remains determined not to give up on her health journey. The support from her family and followers serves as a reminder of the community surrounding her, as she continues to advocate for herself and others affected by Lyme disease.
The model’s situation illustrates the reality faced by many individuals with chronic illnesses, balancing public life with personal health challenges. Bella Hadid’s openness about her journey may inspire others dealing with similar issues to seek support and understanding in their own battles.
