Auckland Airport Domestic Terminal Evacuated After Fire Alarm
Auckland Airport’s domestic terminal was evacuated this morning following the activation of a fire alarm. The incident occurred just before 08:00 and resulted in passengers being directed outside while aircraft remained stranded on the tarmac.
According to a statement from an Auckland Airport spokeswoman, the evacuation was brief. Passengers were allowed back into the terminal shortly after the alarm was triggered. The airport’s emergency services were quick to respond to the situation, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
“The domestic terminal was evacuated for a short time just before 08:00 after a fire alarm was activated,” the spokeswoman noted. “Auckland Airport emergency services responded and the terminal was cleared for re-entry shortly afterwards. We thank passengers for their patience.”
