Family Remembers Fiona Cameron and Tomi Muliaga After Tragic Fire
The family of Fiona Cameron and her partner Tomi Muliaga is mourning their loss following a devastating house fire at Muliaga’s home in Foxton Beach, New Zealand. The tragic incident, which occurred earlier this month, has left the community reeling and the family heartbroken.
In a statement, Cameron’s daughter, Hayley Perkins, expressed the profound impact of her mother’s death, describing her as “the most loving and caring” person. The couple’s passing has left their family and the local community “absolutely devastated.” Perkins highlighted the significance of her mother’s role in the family, stating that she had eight children and had been married three times, but spent much of her life as a solo parent.
Cameron, aged 71, had relocated to Foxton Beach two years ago, initially living across the street from Muliaga, who was also previously married. The couple had created a life together in the seaside town, located approximately 5 kilometers west of Foxton and about 90 minutes north of Wellington.
Perkins provided insights into her mother’s character, noting that “everybody loved her.” The outpouring of affection from the community reflects the couple’s deep connections and the impact they had on those around them. In a time of mourning, the family is finding solace in the memories shared with Cameron and Muliaga, as well as the support from friends and neighbors.
As investigations into the cause of the fire continue, the family hopes that the community can come together to honor the lives of Fiona Cameron and Tomi Muliaga. They are remembered not just for their tragic end, but for the joy and love they brought into the lives of those who knew them.
